Industry toilets paper, which has been in use since the Industrial Revolution, will be removed from Sydney’s streets.
This is the first time that the industry has ever been removed from public spaces.
In a press release, the Victorian Government said that the removal was needed to save the environment.
“We believe that the elimination of industry toilet paper will result in significant savings to our environment and the health of our community,” Premier Daniel Andrews said.
The Government will use the Government’s new waste management system to collect the paper and dispose of it, which will then be used to create new products, the statement said.
A spokesperson for the Victorian Ministry of Planning and Environment said it was not yet clear when the paper would be removed.
